TN
That U.S. opportunity is worth a conversation. Explore professional work through the TN pathway.
An offer, appointment or transaction can remain conditional in ways that matter to an immigration case. A professional may still be resolving a licence requirement, an executive’s authority may depend on the governing documents, or an acquisition may contain conflicting escrow terms. Identify those conditions before treating the next step as settled.
U.S. visa support for Canadians

This Belleville primary edition sits within the proposed Belleville–Quinte West regional preparation. It covers TN, L-1A, L-1B, E-2, EB-5 and Gold Card through hypothetical planning questions. It does not assign neighbouring municipalities or suggest that US eligibility changes with a Canadian city boundary. An initial conversation is spent turning vague plans into a short list of questions with named recipients: this one goes to the employer, this one to the seller's lawyer, this one to the state board.
Choose what brings you here. Leave with a short list of things to discuss—not another long form to fill out.
Identify immigration, licensing and employer conditions individually.

Bring the operative offer or agreement and identify who can satisfy each outstanding condition. The useful record distinguishes what is promised, what is approved and what has actually occurred. A clear comparison can prevent a professional, company or household from relying on the wrong milestone.
Meet the people in your cornerPersonal support.
A practical plan.
No promises we can’t keep.
List what remains outstanding in the offer, appointment or transaction.
Use the actual rules, agreements and records rather than a convenient summary.
Review nationality, duties, funds and family eligibility together.
Align work, payment and travel decisions with the relevant permissions.
Choose the next action that resolves a material question: obtain a regulatory requirement, document authority, reconcile escrow terms or confirm the immigrant procedure. Keep work and travel dependent on the actual permission required. A commercial signature or government fee is not the same as an immigration outcome.
Find your pathwayClarify which issues and applicants a professional engagement covers and whether corporate, licensing, transaction or tax advice is also needed. Confirm the actual consultation arrangements. This regional information does not represent a Belleville office or promise an approval.
Let’s connectArrange a remote consultation to discuss your next steps.
No. Compare the exact immigration qualifications and actual duties, along with any separate practice requirements.
Assess the applicable duties definition and actual governance structure; a title or reserved board matter alone is not decisive.
No. Review the actual commitment and conditions and the enterprise’s remaining requirements.
No. Payment does not provide work permission or complete the applicable residence process.
After admission, if CBP issued a Form I-94, retrieve the electronic record or retain the paper form and compare its name, admission class and admit-until date with the permission requested. A visa is used to seek admission; it neither guarantees entry nor independently determines the authorized stay. Inside the United States, status is normally governed by the admission classification and I-94 expiration date. Keep the passport, travel record, approval notice and submitted application together. If a class or date looks wrong, obtain category-specific advice and address the discrepancy before beginning work or assuming it corrected itself. Where a Form I-94 was issued, the date printed on a visa does not replace its admit-until date, and a Canadian visa exemption does not itself authorize employment.
