That U.S. opportunity is worth a conversation. Explore professional work through the TN pathway.
Every case has a date somebody cannot change: a state licensing board that meets quarterly, a franchise agreement whose deposit becomes non-refundable on a fixed day, a child's twenty-first birthday, a school registration deadline, the expiry printed on an admission record, a lease commencement, the last week a crop can be planted. Applications go wrong when the immigration steps are scheduled first and those dates are discovered afterwards. This edition takes the six categories and, for each, identifies the immovable dates a Tyendinaga applicant should establish before anything else, then works the preparation backwards from them.
U.S. visa support for Canadians
ready for what’s next.
Tyendinaga is a rural township in Hastings County: dairy and cash-crop farms, the veterinary and agri-service businesses that support them, building and mechanical trades, small manufacturers, and households where one adult commutes to work in Belleville. The hypothetical examples here come from those occupations and each is identified as hypothetical. Federal immigration law applies identically across Canadian municipalities, so nothing in the legal conditions changes because an applicant lives here; what changes is which deadlines bind a particular household and how much room they leave.
Choose what brings you here. Leave with a short list of things to discuss—not another long form to fill out.
Where a state licence governs the work, its schedule usually sets the earliest possible start.

Begin the file with a calendar rather than a checklist. Write down every date that is fixed by somebody else: licensing board meetings and examination sittings, the closing date in a purchase agreement, the day a deposit stops being refundable, the start of a school year, each family member's birthday, and the expiry of any current status. Then mark which of those the household can influence and which it cannot. The dates that cannot move set the schedule, and everything the applicant controls, including document gathering and the choice of application route, is arranged behind them.

A practical plan.
No promises we can’t keep.
Write down every deadline set by someone else: boards, contracts, birthdays, school years, status expiries.
Separate the dates the household can renegotiate from the ones that are genuinely immovable.
Place the evidence gathering, the application route and the decision behind the earliest immovable date.
Release money, notice and travel only when the permission each step depends on actually exists.
With the calendar fixed, the ordering rule is simple and rarely followed: no commitment is made before the permission it depends on exists. That means no resignation, no non-refundable payment, no lease signature and no relocation of a family until the status that supports the step is in hand, with the single deliberate exception of an investment that the category itself requires to be committed and at risk. Where a date genuinely cannot be met, the choice is to move the date or to change the plan, and saying so early is far cheaper than assembling a thin file to meet a deadline that was never realistic.
Find your pathwayShneur Herman, Jo Kubti and Alexander Paton work with Tyendinaga applicants remotely, by message or video; there is no local office and no in-person appointment. Expect the first conversation to be about dates and evidence rather than forms, and expect to be told directly if the schedule a household has in mind cannot be met by the file it can actually produce. What appears here is general information about preparing these applications; it is not advice on a particular case and it promises no outcome.

The licensing board's own schedule. Where a state licence is required for the work, its examination sittings and processing times often set the whole timeline, and immigration classification does not authorize practice that a state licence governs.
The day each payment stops being refundable. That date determines when capital becomes genuinely at risk, which is what a treaty investor application needs, and it also determines what the buyer loses if the plan changes.
Because dependent status ends when a child reaches twenty-one, in every category described here. A change to a student or other status has to be planned a year ahead rather than arranged in the month the birthday arrives.
Say so early and ask whether the date can move. Beginning work in the United States before the classification exists is not a scheduling shortcut; it creates a problem that follows the applicant through every later application.
